April 21, 2016 – Beasley & Gilkison partner Sara E. Shade won designation as a Rising Star in the field of Estate Planning & Probate in the 2016 Indiana edition of Super Lawyer Magazine. Rising Stars are top attorneys under the age of forty who are chosen by an advisory board from peer nominations based upon expertise and accomplishments in their area of practice.
Sara began her practice with Beasley & Gilkison in 2001 after graduating from DePauw University and the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University. She has fostered her interest in elder law and medicaid planning, trust and estate planning, guardianships and estate administration through memberships in the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Probate, Trust and Real Property Section of the Indiana State Bar Association and the East Central Indiana Estate Planning Council, which she served as President in 2013-2014.
Sara Shade has also been recognized by M Magazine as one of its “20 Under 40” individuals in 2013 and by the Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County in its 2015 series “30 Days of Community.” She has taken leadership positions with several civic groups including Women In Business Unlimited, Muncie Rotary, Tri Kappa and the Muncie Symphony Orchestra.
